Re: Cross canons
Snowflake Special is starting to grow on me. I think I'll stick a decent barrel on her today. Got a new NM Bula 22" just looking for a home. While I am at it, I have one more USGI Winchester kit on the shelf so the Chinese parts will go back in storage.
Whatta hobby.

Re: Cross canons
Hey, how about splatter paint? Better yet, I bet you could create a great camo pattern using woodland colors with a fishnet stocking. Or an orange/black Tony the Tiger stripe.

Re: Cross canons
I kind of like the dabbing on of color with pieces of sponge in different shapes. Will try that at a later date.
On a roll now. Never know what's going to show up.
Barrel change went perfect. The GWLA receiver has a hole drilled for windage spring and ball detent so I installed that with some old SAI parts. Had to cut the spring in half to get it to work, but anyhow there is 1/2 moa windage functional now. Got up to 10 degs today so the shop is a welcome spot. Winchester kit mounted up fine and the winny trigger group has a 4.5 lb trigger pull that is smoooooooth. Op rod, gas cylinder, flash suppressor and associated parts show some finish wear, but are good as new for me.
Looks like warming this weekend so I hope to punch some paper.

Re: Cross canons
I'll get those butt plate assemblies out to you over the weekend. Looks like you'll need them.
