Romanian AK-47 Bayonet with sheath and leather frog, matching serial numbers on bayo and sheath. List as "Good", entire setup went for 30 bucks, a great buy for a probably 50 year old bayonet. I think it's in excellent condition, a little leather conditioner did wonders. The rubber insulator is so you can snip live wires and not get shocked. Crazy Commies.

It goes with my new AK-47 under folder. Like all my other rifles, if it's lugged, it get a bayonet. My first and most likely last, AK-47.

Nothing yet this month; but last month.

I already had the Colt Commercial 1911 in .45 ACP and .38 Super. The ejector is a snug press fit so pull the slide and barrel assembly off, lift the ejector out and replace the other caliber’s ejector, reassemble, and install the other top end. When I won the First Jerry Hossom knife I had Charles Turnage (here in San Antonio) make me a set of end cut stocks for my Colt to match the knife.

Lo and behold, Jerry posted the other (longer blade) knife on his FB page on behalf of the owner was trying to sell it! Now there are 2.

Re: What knife did you buy this month?

Back in late 2015 I ordered one of these directly from the shop. It arrived in June of 2019.

The next year, I gave it to my brother for his 50th birthday.

I finally got around to ordering the replacement from a dealer in April of this year and he brought it with him to the Tulsa G'n'K show last weekend.

This is the Randall Model 16 "Special Fighter 1", which is essentially their diver knife ("Model 16") with a fighter profile on the blade. I added two options/changes to my order: Nickel Silver Hilt and Black Sheath.

Haven't bought a knife in years, but I did pick up a package of razor blades at BJ's last week.

December's acquisition is the Model 16 Diver knife.

    https://www.randallknives.com/knives/model-16-diver/

I ordered this back in May of 2017 and it arrived in early December. Today me is happy that 2017 me placed this order.

Mine is optioned with a nickel silver hilt instead of brass. The leather sheath is waxed to protect the leather should it go into the drink, but leather isn't necessary going to enjoy being underwater for extended periods of time, waxed or not.

As such, they offer a nylon sheath as an option, which I purchased and is shown here.

And here's a photo of the two side-by-side. You can see the similarities.
