    With nasty weather on the way. Thoughts of better places.

    Got snow and ice headed out way for the weekend.
    Nice to think of better place to be.

    Kauai last September. Wiamea Canyon waterfall. Took this our last day there.

                      We usually get a couple of pretty nice snowfalls here, but hasn't really happened in a couple of years now. We get some cold weather, even down to zero at times, I would actually like a good snow! I'd like to get out there with the tractor and plow some snow! I know, that sounds nuts to you northerners.

                                  Was in Hawaii in 72...... For a whole stinking hour! Never got out of the terminal area. Was on the way to Okinawa. Stopped for fuel. All of us were held at terminal. I guess they were afraid some of the GIs headed for Vietnam would go AWOL.....LOL

                                                  That's exactly like my stay in Spain, on the way to GW1. At least they opened the doors so that we could see lights and breathe some fresh air.

                                                      First time on Oahu for Linda and I was September 1968. We had been married a little over 2 years at the time and R & R was wonderful. Hated the thought of going back to Viet Nam, but that was my job.
