    Re: Let's ask Art, B.

I use a laser boresighter in the house and set the laser on a dot and the corresponding cross hairs above it according to the scope height above the bore. Or, I mount the scope and start on the 50' line and get the poi to be again as far below the poa as the scope is above the bore.

Using either method gets you on paper quickly at 100 Yds.
The laser doesn't take any ammo and is usually within a few moa for the first shot on paper.

    If you feel rambunctious, . . .

AND if you have a really good sled, . . .

Strap the rifle down, . . . put a blank white board down range, . . . fire one shot, . . . move the rifle so the iron sights are "on", . . . then look thru the scope and move the crosshairs to the bullet hole.

You will usually be off a bit, . . . and need to tweak it, . . . but that will get you on paper about as quickly as any other way I've seen, . . . and with less ammo.

    May God bless,

My SLite SL-100 gets the most use. It will work with different calibers. You just stuff it in the end of the muzzle and go for it.
I do have a bunch of others. The ones that go in the chamber and site out through the barrel are fine too, but the batteries don't seem to last very long.

I have one of the latter. Battery has lasted seems like forever.....
Probably because I have yet to turn it on......
