    Coloring Easter hand guards

Nice day today so I am catching up on a couple of projects.
Coloring hand guards to go along with previously painted USGI fiberglass stocks.

First , three coats of sandable primer filler.

Then three coats of tractor colors.

That should take care of them for today.

Had a request at another location for the CAT yellow with a black handguard.

Still want to see a black handguard on that yellow stock.[/quote]

OK, wish granted. Meet "Bumble Bee".

    Re: Coloring Easter hand guards

Finally had a day that was warm enough and dry enough for the last coat of paint on the stocks and handguards. Let them cure for a few days then they will be getting a couple coats of matte clear finish. Loving it.

No way I'm showing these to my granddaugher. She'll go crazy and insist I try to do one for her. I won't hear the end of it until I do so. Nice job!

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

Patience my friend. We all have to start somewhere. One of my customers is a writer and she started the Barney thing. I think Purple may be in the offing.
