    Wall hangers ???

You here it quite often, how that old gun is just a wall hanger, not meant to be fired, etc. Well, what do you guys use to display and old gun on the wall?
I have couple of old guns I'd like to display, and I'm looking for ideas on how to hang them, metal or wood, no "deer hoof" type mounts please.

    Re: Wall hangers ???

Only rifle I have on display is an old Mosin with the bayonet attached. Leans up next to a book case in the living room.
New state law this October will require all guns to be locked in safes in Connecticut if anyone under 18 has access to the house.

    Re: Wall hangers ???

I have a couple that are destined to be wall art:

Low S/N Springfield M1903, purchased from CMP (they ground the end off of the firing pin)
M14 AirSoft rifle with wood stock (bought it from Ted Brown)

I haven't figured out the hardware yet, was leaning towards the rubberized hooks you use in the garage and then anchor the equipment to them with wire, using strips of kydex or similar to keep the wire from gouging the wood.

I used to have a AR and M14 on my wall. I converted magazines to wall brackets and the rifles were hung from the mag wells.

That's a unique way to hang 'em.
Over on your old forum, I posed the same question. One member replied that Hoppes makes a brass set of mounting hardware, but that there were also others and maybe a bit cheaper. I found some on Amazon (where else???)
Here is the web link to what I ordered... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What I have to hang on a wall in my basement is an old WW2 bolt action dummy/training rifle, and old Austro-Hungarian Model 1895 straight pull training rifle, non-firing/demilled rifle, as well as a couple of other rifles.

Here is another option I was sort of thinking about, or perhaps make my own, based on this pattern... https://www.amazon.com/Allen-Wooden-...ustomerReviews

    Re: Wall hangers ???

or you can try "" Horse shoes "" heat one half and twist it sideways ;so that you can nail to the wall and the other is the hook for the rifle .
