Installed another Hi-Lux scope. Phenom FFP 5-30x56mm.

Giving another scope a try on one of my .308 10 dot rifles.
Just installed a Hi-Lux Phenom FFP 5-30x56mm. Scope has a 34mm tube so I found a use for one of the extra sets of NF rings I had in the shop.
Hope to get out for a test run tomorrow. Dang this stuff is fun.

Tell you better after I have tried it out John. Looks like I will have a chance to do a bunch of testing tomorrow.

See if you can get a shot of the crosshairs, . . . what do you see looking thru the tube??

    Well, it shoots.
Not particularly good in my estimation compared to a MK4 or the NF, but for 1/4 to 1/6th the cost of the others it's not bad.
Focus shifts slightly with recoil. The tactile clicks are pretty muted. I do like the fact that it can be used at short range 20 yds and will focus right down there.
Initial reaction, I would not buy another. Hi-Lux makes some really nice scopes but this one is marginal at best.
Let's see what results are noticed after a few more range trips. Hopefully my opinion of this monster will improve with time.
