I am in the "i fired the BAR in ITR "club along with the flame thrower, 3.5 rocket launcher, and all the other WWII weapons. I would have paid them to let me shoot those weapons.
The only Woodstock I saw in 1969 was on my M14

How about the rifle grenades and field of fire with an M1 with tracers every other rnd. And the clunk when one of these things hit the old target tank. Gosh, I want to go back and play again. I know, at least 50 years to old and 50 lbs overweight. Nice to dream though.

nf1e, up north each year you can shoot all of that at the KnobCreek Machine Gun Shoot. Just bring plenlearned ty of cash.
Not shure if one is scheduled for 2020 due to covid19
Years ago, i got to shoot a Dillon Aero mini gun at the Dillon Precision Range, which they own up north.
One thing I've learned is that auto guns promote a lot of time management in a hurry and have an incredible appetite for ammo.

nf1e, yep, shot them all, also learned to set off C4, or what ever they were using then. I thought ITR was a blast. Pun intended!

Well that's four of us so far and most likely five counting Six. He might even have been familiar with a M60 while he was there ?

    Re: Oow 1918a3 bar

Went to the Mustang Range machine gun shoots in Nevada a few times years ago.....always looked to see if a BAR was on the firing line but no luck. Would have dropped alot of $$ to fire a FA one. Got to fire a FA Thompson and a flame thrower though.

Just looked at prices for a semi auto BAR....
