    Speaking of saddle guns !

Here's a model that they don't make any more.
A factory Monte Carlo 444 Marlin.
    (1968)

Let's see your lever action !

Here is a couple of mine. Both Rossi 92's a 357 carbine and my 44 mag rifle. I've smacked the 50 lb Rams @ 200 yds with the 44 and 240 gr cast bullets. My 94's I don't have pic's of them.

Nice pic, Van. The 444 Marlin I'd a good choice.

        I love the big levers!
VanHahner, that 444 Marlin is an absolute sweetheart. Don't ever turn her away.

This is my little 'ol .45-70 Marlin carbine. I worked up a load for this gun that will truly cloverleaf 3 rounds at 100 yards shooting prone, resting on a canvas bag of ammo. Can't shoot many of them in a day though. Hurts.

Another one of my favorites that I have is the classic Marlin 39 A

"Technically, the Model 39A is still in production. It is available from the Marlin custom shop, as the Model 39A Fancy for $3,495."

I put some nice peep sights on my 1982 Golden M39A. That improved my accuracy with it tremendously. (I hate those silly semi-buckhorn sights.) I need to put another thousand rounds or so through it to get it slicked up a little better though. It's still basically brand new.

Quite difficult to wear out the rifling in a 22 rimfire . The barrels seem to last forever !

Oh, I was talking about the action, Van. It could stand a little wear. (Not only that, but it is a hoot to shoot!)

I find a lever action to be much faster getting that second shot off than a bolt. Even the .45-70.
The .22 LR is just plain fast. You can keep the sight picture pretty close while you cycle.

This is my Henry Big Boy "Annie" with her scabbard created by our own Leathersmith, Dwight55. I can't speak enough how exceptional the work he did on it is.
