    grin Junk On The Bunk

    Not really JUNK ...
But that's what we Marines called it.
Some of it's faded but underneath I'd call it OD

    Re: Junk On The Bunk

In one of our first inspections . . . myself and the lower bunk guy named Wirt . . . had to lay our stuff out on his bunk so it could be inspected.

His was on one end . . . mine on the other end . . .

The ol chief who inspected us nodded at Wirt and remarked . . . "Well . . . we can teach you to fold stuff . . . glad you already know how to be clean".

    I never forgot that.

    May God bless,
    Dwight

The one good thing about Vietnam was no JUNK ON THE BUNK inspections.
The only Woodstock I saw in 1969 was on my M14

Better the bunk than the "trunk"
    On my honor,
I will never betray my badge,
    my integrity, my character,
    or the public trust.
    I will always have
    the courage to hold myself
and others accountable for our actions.
I will always uphold the constitution,
my community, and the agency I serve.
