product review Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine Paratrooper

Naturally I only read reviews after I buy something and boy were they mixed on this rifle. I didn’t want a historic .30 carbine because I tend to tinker with stuff a little and I didn’t want to mess with history.

I prepped the rifle with lubriplate grease just like I do my M1A, shot 100 rounds (5 different mags) and had zero issues.

    …except my cheek… it’s a little sore.

Just thought I’d share in case anyone else was considering this rifle. So far, no reason at all to not fully recommend.

It's not original GI so it can't be any good. : - )

People are VERY disappointed in me for the sacrilege of not buying original. I thought it would be worse to buy original because I know I’d end up tinkering with it, I don’t want to mess with something that’s historic. Can’t please everyone. I’m happy with it. Update though…. Front sight is loose. AO/Kahr wants me to send it in. That’s too much work. I think I’ll just figure out how to fix it myself. Or add ultimak rail and a red dot.

I did end up sending it in to Kahr. They noted the sight was loose however not “overly loose”. They replaced it with a tighter fitting sight…. Which is also loose in my opinion….
