Rainy today with thunderstorms. Wasn't out and about to see if the Hawk was out and about.

Nice pic. Have seen some owls here on Kauai and lots of other birds but no hawks. Looking forward to heading home.

    Beautiful Hawk!
    I do love raptors.
When I used to fly I used to pretend to strafe sheep and cows and antelope.
I think I have some raptor in my blood.

I heard the area owl/owls hooting in the wee hours of the morning this morning.

I went back to sleep with a big smile on my face, knowing they're keeping the critters in check.

I have hawks, an occasional falcon, burrowing owls and even a couple great horned owls that hunt my acreage (although the border collie is in competition for the critters of late).

I think it is some kind of tarp-like material hung on poles, maybe to lessen wind effects.

GunnyG we are in a desert here. That is a 20 ac mango ranch that the owner tries to lessen sunburn on his fruit with a reflective sunscreen on the perimiter (sp) rows

The shade tarps he bought are on their third year and starting to show their age for sure!
