    September 50 yard Rimfire Challenge?

I searched and looked in other Lima Range posts, are we not doing 50 yard dirty birds or has it moved on to 100/200? I had a chance to get out this afternoon and shoot a 100-10x 50 yard rimfire dirty bird with my Tactical Solutions barreled 10/22 with Millett DMS-1 1_4x24 scope off bags using Wolf Match Target 40gr.

    Excellent blkgunlvr!

I also have no clue on the shooting posts/contests here... Range Master is on vacation in Hawaii so guess we are on our own until he returns?

I like the 50yd matches but was asked to go to 100...?

Any issues with your shooting table blkgunlvr? I bought me one and have it here but have not used it yet...
Will probably take it out for this season's D-12 deer season to play with .22's at the camp site if Tommy brings out the grandkids

It's not as "high-speed" as some of the hardware, with an aluminum-jacketed fluted barrel, Timney trigger and Hogue overmold stock, but it gets the job done. Had a 6-10 mph gusty breeze directly downrange that bumped me around a bit. Was hoping for one hole, but am pleased with what I got.

I like the Caldwell table - quick and easy to tote, set up and put away, pretty damn slick surface, but not a biggie.

Thanks Jeep. I reckon I may try a dirty bird from 100 before the end of the month.

What type of tripod do you use blkgunlvr? One with an accra head?

It's a BOG "death grip" that I bought last Spring from Midway USA with my birthday discount. Other than the gun grip, I leave the "head" unlocked and sit behind it on a shop stool.

I may buy me one of those to play with someday

I think it's a hunting tripod vs. a target shooting one. It pans and tilts pretty freely, folds up for carry and has three-section legs that allow it to extend close to six feet tall for shooting standing. I've shot it standing on other blind billiard ball months, but prefer to sit.

                          Well done!
“After all is said and done, successful rifle shooting on the range is nothing more than first finding a rifle and lot of ammunition which will do precisely the same thing shot after shot, and then developing the same skill in the rifleman.” ~ Capt.
