COLA announcement
Tomorrow the 13th of October, is the day the COLA announcement of how much of an increase those with VA ratings and Social Security are supposed to get.
Most likely Social Security will increase how much they deduct from our checks for part B.

Re: COLA announcement
With gas and food prices through the roof, that extra $110.00 or so, will seem almost insignificant !
In January 2021, the food price index for all urban consumers was 270.938. As of this September, it was 313.142.
That is an increase of 42.204--or 15.57 percent.
In just the past year—from September 2021 to September 2022—food prices have increased 11.2 percent, according to BLS.

Re: COLA announcement
It will be a tad over $300 a month for me. Not to mention whatever pittance Social Security gives us after raising part B like last time.

A real government would adjust by the real cost of living, not the fakey doo hog wash bull shirt method currently employed that ensures that you go backwards monetarily relative to the real cost of living. The only possible outcome is not complimentary to the pension recipients.
Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Give a man a fishing pole, and he will drink too much beer, get tangled in fish line, hook himself in the nose casting, fall overboard, and either drown, or, go home hungry and wet. Give a man a case of dynamite, and he will feed the whole town for a year!
