Been there and done that and a lot more....LOL When it came to building our own foundations, my Dad started me out as a block carrier, then mortar mixer and later block layer. Same with brick. Every job I was started at the bottom.....LOL lumber was pretty much the same. Spackling was always start in the closets until ya got g enough to get out into the rooms. I was glad for that teaching as I used that with my own crew later. The best thing is you could always tell someone that you aren't asking them to do anything you haven't done before them.

That also was true in the martial arts.

How's this for construction? Bamboo and it lasted a couple months before taking a hit with a 122 and burning to the ground. This photo was during a Korean floor show where they were trying to sing Folsum Prison Blues.

Hard to believe this was over half a century ago. My camp sight complete with fine bed and gear. Then the recreation area. Could we be turning into dinosaurs?

    Re: A bit of nostalgia.....

10 April 1972 - sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge onboard USS MIDWAY enroute WESTPAC. Twenty-eight days later (no port calls on the way) we were launching planes to drop bombs on targets in Vietnam. First Port Call - Subic Bay. One wild and crazy place for a 19 year old sailor!

We were gone from San Francisco for 10 months and 3 weeks. In September of 1973 we left San Francisco bound for a new home port - Yokosuka, Japan.
