I've given a few away for gifts over the years too. All metal is steel, very rugged. I keep an extra 26 inch barrel with Remchoke for hunting, if the need arises too.

You are correct, and I know this is gonna sound odd or weird, but I leave every one of my Dad's rifles exactly how he left them. He's been gone since 2003, but something in me won't let me change them, they are mine now, but deep inside, they are still his, I'm just keeping them. Like I said, weird, I know, but it is what it is. I can't logically explain.

My Dad's machinist tool box is like that. Can't remove his name tag or his "years of service" pins or his red cross blood drive pins or his old micrometers from 1941, so I just stuff mine in next to them.

Hell, I wouldn't even share my tools with his... I'd have my own box, but I'd use my pops tools. (I use what's left of my pops)

My family member who shan't be named pawned most before I could save them.... yes, I'm still pissed.

I have my own box(es), but Pop would want me to use his, so I do. That's why he gave it to me. But I can't toss his stuff out of the box. My machinist box is just for end mills and step blocks and such now.
