I was 10 years old when this was broadcast and my dad made me watch it with him

I was there for the 67 Christmas show at Chu Lai. Loved every minute of it. Still in love with Rachel.

Re: Bob Hope Christmas special 1967
Hello,
I remember being at his last tour @ Subic Bay PI during the Nam conflict in 1973, as a VIP in the seating area. Their group stayed at the BOQ across the street from our house, across from the Officers Club down by the Carriers dock in Subic. And, he was staying right behind the house in VIP quarters. Our house was across from the O clubs parking lot on the beach front.
I was just 12yrs old at the time and got to meet the whole group. The best was meeting Roman Gabriel of the then LA Rams... Yet, my parents didn't let me go to the dinner party that night at the O'club for some odd reason.
The show was over at the Subic Bay Admirals football field a short walking distance from our house. Those were a very fun three-four days as a little grommet, military brat... I have a lot of fond memories of being in the P.I. at that time in my early life. Man, some of the shat I used to get into, being considered an Officers son. My Father was an GS 14 or 15 at that time and worked with NAESU DET Cubi Point on the A7 aircraft as a radar systems expert. Matter of fact, he was the first civilian in USN history to serve as King Neptune during an equator cross on some aircraft carrier in the late 70s. But, I'm off track from the Bob Hope show... Again, fond memories of the P.I. and the Bob Hope show.
