Blkgunlvr...glad to hear it worked out for you and I think that's very considerate to split up your narcotics with nf1e...but seriously... Enjoy your downtime. I'm sure you deserve it!

Glad you're home. Only real pain I had after they installed my pacemaker through my groin was when I removed the tape from the bandage.

Thanks for the well wishes. Taking it very easy as all the post-op guidance says the same thing: "if this happens, call 911 - if that happens, apply pressure and call 911 - and even just straight up - call 911!"

Re: Going Under the Knife Tomorrow
Had my pacemaker installed, April 26, 2020, during Pandemic Hit, in my left shoulder. Doc told me it would take him 10- 15 mins tops. Walked in @ 6:15 am, signed some papers for insurance, identity, and responsibility for payment/ Medicare (?). Issued a gown, but told me I could wear my briefs n socks ( yippie). The anneastologist put a needle in my wrist and gave my part One, took BP n pulse then left. 15 min later, I'm in OR. given Part Two, counted backwards from 10, got to 6. Woke up 1 hr. 45 min. later. gave me Sprite on ice ( their coffee machine was unplugged ) asked me to call my ride ( wife) and get dressed. Took my BP n pulse again. wheeled me down to exit - got rid of me - out the revolving doors by 10:55am. Appt with "ELECTRIC HEART MD." 4 days later to check work. Yeah, my time recall is off. Good it is in my Left shoulder, as I am right handed. But really not given a say in choice of shoulder. Was told not to shower that for a week 'till skin flap heals. Doc used medical grade 'Krazy Glue', ...no stitches. Yippie !
