Yeah . . . I'm late for the party as well . . . my internet provider has not been providing very well for the last 36 hours or so . . . beginning to wonder if they are going to ever get it back up.
But anyway . . . glad you ditched the hospital bed for "home" . . .
Stay safe . . . get well . . .
May God bless,

Glad your back in some action. Give yourself a bit of R&R.

Re: Going Under the Knife Tomorrow
A lesson I learned. I had bone implants put in my jaw due to bone loss. The Perio told me afterwards to take my pain pills every 4 hours whether or not I feel any pain. The total procedure takes 4 trips over months. The first 2 I did just what he said, took my pills every 4 hours. No pain. On the 3rd trip I backed off my meds because I told myself I didn't need them. The pain hit. Got back on the schedule with the pills. Too late. 2-3 days of godawful pain. When I went back for my 4th procedure I told the doc what I did. He said all I did was chase the pain, I should've stayed on schedule. Yep. He joked, "There's a reason why periodontists have 2 more weeks of schooling over dentists...".
Moral of the story ? Do exactly what your doctor says to do. You do NOT know better.
The older I get, the more I realize "life in prison" is not that much of a deterrent.

That is a good lesson I have learned personally as well as observed in others: STAY AHEAD of pain! It is really hard to catch up.

It's good that you are better now and will be at it again to do the things you like to do.

Wasn't given any pain medication or guidance on pain management. I have a high tolerance for pain and it hasn't been bad. Mostly I have to work to avoid bending or stretching that tenses up the groin area "invaded" by the procedure. Been limping around with the right leg straight like Chester on the old Rifleman series. Spending a lot of time horizontal in the recliner. The dog gets fed and put out at 0500 and I go back in the rack until 1000.
