9mm NATO is higher pressure than 9mm Luger. Any modern pistol can shoot either, but I wouldn't risk 9mm NATO in a classic WWI P08.

Basically the same .223/5.56 argument but in pistol form.... lol

I can understand the $800 price tag, but why the threaded barrel issue Hawk? Just leaving the thread protector in place on the muzzle shouldn't cross any "muzzle device" BS, even in NewYorkistan!

FYI-
what is the difference between 9mm, 9mm Luger, and 9×19 Parabellum? In short, nothing. 9mm Luger and 9x19mm Parabellum refer to the exact same round. When someone refers to 9mm, they almost always mean 9x19mm.
