Today I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of you who have served our country in some military fashion: Army, USMC, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard . . . or any of the reserve components . . . including National Guard.
But especially today on this day . . . for the Vietnam veterans . . .
Thank you for your service . . . and welcome home.

I'm a little young for Vietnam, but I echo your sediments. You guys fought against the NVA , VC and our own govmint here in a situation where you weren't allowed to win. My hat's off to you all. As for just being a vet? It was my honor.
Amen Dwight , Thanks to all Vietnam Veterans and a word of silence for those that didn't make it back .And the many that died years later from cancer and other diseases .Dad being one of them at 59 years young.
My VFW calendar listed today as Viet Nam veteran's remembrance day. I was a Viet Nam "era veteran" but LantFlt. My late older brother did two tours in 'Nam and passed away at 64 in 2006. Heartfelt thanks for those here and gone who served in the conflict.

I didn't enlist until 76, but a great many of the guys I served with spent time there. They certainly had tales to tell. Shameful how the country treated them for doing the job they were told to do. Some of them didn't even ask for the job.
