Still trying to tame this Single Six. At 20 yards offhand CCI .22LR. I settled in and had a few flyers early. Short barrel really magnifies shooter error.
Sights all the way down
Between my vision and steadiness not sure if it's ammo or me.
I usually blame me before I blame the ammo (with centerfire), but with .22 and with pellets, I find that the ammo usually has more to do with it than me!
22 LR, unlike any other ammo I know is very "psychotic" in its preference for a particular firearm and that can lead to significant accuracy variations. Testing requires multiple rounds fired at yardage of each "flavor" until the ammo favored by that firearm can be determined. I've had bulk ammo shoot lights out in a 10/22 that shotguns top-shelf match ammo and one variety of match ammo outshoot another in the same gun.

You need the clean to bore between different types or shoot enough of the new round to force out all remnants of the previous round so you are not comparing a mixture of lubes and such.
There were a lot worse places than Phu Bai and they weren't all in Viet Nam.
If you look there were six flyers today , thinking ammo related
Same ammo produced some flyers in the Colt New Frontier too.One day to next a man will get different results .
I have a bunch of Federal I'll try ,maybe Monday
