It's been a short one this yr. Normal opener April 1st and runs till end of may. With all the snow we had we couldn't get much of the valley floor until last week. I was finally able to make the loop from my house around the reservoir this past Thursday. That's about a 30 mile trip.
Everything is greening up nice. I got a call from a friend on the other side of the valley and wanted to take a drive on his side yesterday morning. We covered several miles down low but couldn't get through on a couple of the higher loop roads. I did manage to spot one set of tracks on a dried muddy bank. So we know their up and moving. Probably go back out this evening for a look around. Don't really care if I fill the tag or not. It's just nice getting out of hibernation after a very long winter.
