That's odd. Around here they advertised that nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules and tires stayed inflated to a more consistent pressure. I think it's snake oil myself.

Kinetic diameter of oxygen is 346 picometers and of nitrogen is 364 picometers [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinetic_diameter]. About 2/3 of a per cent difference.

Air is 78% nitrogen, that's what goes in my tires.
As for the scope repair, maybe Ironsight, Inc. in Tulsa. They're the ones that bought up the parts bins for Leatherwood.
They used to have a nice table setup at the semi-annual Wanenmacher show in Tulsa. I don't remember seeing them since Ze Covidz dropped the two 2020 shows.

Re: Need fixer for a Tasco Scope
It never bothered me having to check tire pressure or adding air when needed. I considered it part of the deal of vehicle ownership. Just like checking your oil or putting fuel in the tank.
Now every time I start my Jeep, the dash tells me the tire pressure. At first I didn't trust it. Turns out it's spot on.

I work usually work with methane gas ...it occurs naturally.
Dang Dwight...I forgot all about TASCO scopes. you could always keep the scope for sentimental value.

Re: Need fixer for a Tasco Scope
Winter in Idaho I have gotten low tire pressure alarms on my 2007 Tahoe several times with the first single digit to subzero overnights. Nothing like stumbling out to the vehicle in crackling cold at zero dark thirty to go to work and have to fire up an air compressor and drag out a hose to top off tires before heading out to work (thank goodness for retirement and no longer having to do that!) I do have to admit to just driving pressure up on more than one occasion.

It is kinda nice to finally be the guy with the coffee cup on the porch watching the other guys' pressure up to head out to work. ;)

Re: Need fixer for a Tasco Scope
I've got a Tasco World Class 3-9x40. I bought it at the Rod and Gun club in Nuremberg Germany in late 89 or early 90 and paid $110 for it new. I mounted it on a Remington 700 BDL 30-06 and used it for several years. One day the mag ring seized up and I sent it to Tasco with a letter stating what was wrong with it. This was probably 97-98 so Al Gore's Interweb was just starting good. About two weeks later I get the scope back and it's smoother than it was new. I put it back on the rifle and it was three click off zero. The scope is still on the rifle to this day, but granted I haven't shot it in probably 15 years. But I have no doubt it would hit where I aim it. I've considered upgrading many times but why? It's most likely had many generations of bore dwelling spiders live in it undisturbed. I haven't deer hunted in years so it just sits in the back of the safe now. But if the scope were to go south on me now I'd just replace it.

Yep, scopes in general are much better quality then the scopes made in the 60's or 70's even some of the low end ones, and fairly inexpensive.
I would would just toss the old one in the can and head to the store.
