Re: What I did today... You?

Just got back from my post-op with my hernia surgeon...I still have some pain, sometimes bad, she said that's normal. I said I went to work last night but just babysat some electricians, I didn't do anything but escort. But my smartwatch said I walked 6 miles. She said that was WAY too much walking. Trust me, I feel it today. She gave me the "no duh" look.

I asked how my surgery went, she said my hernia didn't involve my intestine, it was my freakin' colon popping out !! She said I was maybe a month out from emergency surgery. That there's a fine how-do.

I told her I'm not eating, not even hungry (point in case, since yesterday I've only eaten one bowl of Cap'n Crunch...yeah, I still eat that cereal...lol) and I'm sleeping like crap because every time I fidget I get a bolt of pain. She prescribed some muscle relaxant.

I did ask about video, she politely said she doesn't record the surgeries. I laughed and said, "Yes you do, to cover your butt in case a patient tries to sue you. You just don't hand it out so it doesn't end up on YouTube...". She laughed and said, "It's what we call "lawyer food", but I seriously don't record it." I smiled and said, "Suuuure you don't...".

All in all, really glad I got it done. Glad to take a dump again like a normal human. I'll be glad when the pain is done.
The older I get, the more I realize "life in prison" is not that much of a deterrent.

I loaded some 30-06 ammo with 168 grain TMK's, I'll see how they perform on the steel range KD range.

I managed the got up part Jeff. No more work though, other than around home. "Retardedment" is OK by me.

Broke out the "nearly stock" Springfield 1911 A1 and shot some rounds through it in preparation for the annual "Frozen Chosin" commemorative match coming up on Monday.

Work is crazy here for me now... Trying to help the boss out as his old equipment leaves ALOT to be desired as well as some of his employees!
I will be working one of the good ones both Sat and Sunday to try and catch him up some and keep the packing house working.
