    One can slap any sort of optic/scope on the FS-2000 and it is quite comfortable to shoulder and shoot. Don't worry, 55 years ago we thought the M-16 looked kinda weird even when they worked. Got a little used to them over the years but still think they are goofy looking. Whatta Hobby!

    They did, but most of that was due to mounting the scope on the carry handle.
    There were a lot worse places than Phu Bai and they weren't all in Viet Nam.

    Not aware of anything, at the time, having anything to do with a scope. Just a silly looking tool that had a very hard time doing it's job.

    Thought you were talking about one with a scope.

    My guess is that most of us in those days were not up with the new trends in military rifles.
    There were a lot worse places than Phu Bai and they weren't all in Viet Nam.

    Wait till you mount this Hubble on the handle ! (pre Starlight)
